I'M SO BAKED

Litterally. So. Baked.

Today I tried, just for you, a make up technique. BAKING.

Yeah, I also thought it was only for cakes... and other things. But never would I have ever thought that someone could actually say "Ok, let's bake your face!"

Apparently, it is a makeup technique practiced by Drag Queens, for their makeup to last longer, and for their skin to look FLAWLESS.

Sounds complicated you say?
Wait.

No.
I'm the worst at doing my makeup and I did it. Well, I think I did. Let me explain you how.

First, all that you will need!

I bet you can count up to 4.

1. A makeup sponge!
Mine is from Primark.

2. Loose transparent powder!
This one? Mac Prep+Prime.

3. Concealer!
I am using a Mac Select Cover-up in NC45

4. A soft makeup brush!
That beauty? Sephora Cheekbone Blush 51.

All set? Now lets get started.

I started on a clean skin.
Littles imperfections? Get ready to disappear!

Step 1. apply A LOT of concealer.

Step 2. Blend it into your face with a "buffing" gesture.

Dont worry, you are not pretty yet.

Step 3. Apply A LOT of transparent powder.

A lot, and I mean it.

Still not the moment to become pretty. Sorry.
(Its more "You-Sneezed-In-A-Bag-Of-Flour" moment)

Step 4. Time for baking!
Let your skin do all the job, during 10mn. Just let it. Do not touch.
Your natural oils are going to get through the powder, do not worry if it doesn't. My skin is pretty dry, so nothing like that happened.

Step 5. Brush the excess powder off!

And finally, finish up your makeup...

...with your favourite whatsoever.

All done! Flawless skin, ready to go!

My thoughts on baking?
It is a really effective technique. But it is really time consuming. Do this before a night out while drinking rosé or something. Could do it with friends?
It also ends up being pretty expensive: a lot of makeup is used during the whole process.
Well, I tried and I succeeded. Easy.

Let me know when you try it!

See you soon! xx
